Palacký University Alumni Club: Information on the details of personal data processing at Palacký University Olomouc
Palacký University Olomouc, Company ID No. 61989592, with its registered office at Křížkovského 511/8, 771 47 Olomouc (hereinafter referred to as “UP”), is the controller of your personal data for the purposes of registration in the Alumni Club and the use of related benefits. UP processes your personal data for the following purposes:
a) registration in the Alumni Club and verification of your identity to confirm that you are a genuine UP graduate
b) maintaining your details in the list of members of the UP Alumni Club
c) creating and using the Alumni Card
d) informing you about current events at UP, as well as events, discounts, and other benefits offered by contractual partners
UP processes your personal data on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, i.e. processing is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and UP, the subject of which is membership in the UP Alumni Club and related activities, including the possible creation and use of the Alumni Card.
UP processes your personal data to the following extent:
a) first name, surname, birth surname, date of birth, email address, study information (faculty, graduation year) for the purpose of registration in the Alumni Club and verification of your identity as a genuine UP graduate;
b) for the purpose of maintaining your details in the list of members of the UP Alumni Club: first name, surname, birth surname, the first 6 digits of your birth number, date of birth, email address, study information;
c) for the purpose of creating and using the Alumni Card: first name, surname, birth surname, date of birth, email address, study information, address, and photograph;
d) and, if you choose to provide them, also your LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram profiles for the purpose of further contact.
UP processes your personal data for the duration of your membership in the Alumni Club, or for as long as you hold the Alumni Card.
Providing your personal data is voluntary. However, if you refuse to provide the above data, or some of it, we will not be able to verify you and complete your registration in the UP Alumni Club, nor issue an Alumni Card.
UP does not provide students’ personal data to third parties, unless required by law or upon request of a public authority authorized to do so.

All rights and obligations related to the processing of personal data are governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”). Under this Regulation, you have the following rights:
- under Article 15 of the Regulation, you have the right to obtain from UP confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to those personal data and related information;
- under Article 16 of the Regulation, you have the right to have inaccurate personal data concerning you corrected, or incomplete personal data completed;
- under Article 17 of the Regulation, under certain conditions, you have the right to have UP erase personal data concerning you without undue delay;
- under the conditions set out in Article 18 of the Regulation, you have the right to request that UP restrict the processing of your personal data;
- in accordance with Article 77 of the Regulation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement, if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the Regulation (as a rule, this supervisory authority will be the Office for Personal Data Protection).

As a data subject, by completing registration in the Alumni Club, I confirm that I have been informed, to the above extent, of the details of the processing of my personal data by UP.
